Monitoring the Rangelands - Photographic Sequences for MacDonnell Ranges

The Rangelands Information System Photographic Sequences is a tool which allows the user to view a photographic record of particular areas in the Rangelands. The photographs for MacDonnell Ranges has been provided by Geoff Cunningham Natural Resource Consultants and the Centralian Land Management Association.

The tree, shrub and ground cover has increased at this site over 28 years. The general condition of the vegetation has greatly improved in this period

After 28 years, the main change in the vegetation is an increase in tree and shrub cover in the better watered areas of the land system. Some sections of this arid rangeland are typically always relatively bare as can be seen here.
